Material and Construction
The KONG Shakers Floofs Moose (Medium) is built with an extra fluffy fleece body that encapsulates a large squeaker, providing immediate auditory feedback during play. The long legs are constructed from faux leather with an inner crinkle material that produces a crackling sound during movement. The combination of fleece, faux leather, and crinkle components creates a varied tactile and auditory experience. This toy is light duty and is best suited for dogs that engage in interactive, moderate play rather than sustained chewing.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The fleece exterior is soft and plush, making it comfortable for medium dogs to mouth, carry, and cuddle. The faux leather legs offer a contrasting texture that adds variety during play. The medium sizing is appropriate for mid-size breeds that benefit from a toy scaled to their grip and jaw size. Play duration will vary based on the individual dog’s energy and play drive. Dogs engaged by sound and movement typically sustain longer sessions with this multi-sensory toy. This toy is not designed for sustained or aggressive chewing.
Play Style and Functional Use
As a multi-purpose dog toy, the Floofs Moose (Medium) supports several distinct play behaviors. The squeaker body encourages mouthing and biting engagement. The long faux leather legs are designed for shaking and flinging, producing a whipping sound that adds a motion-driven play element. The crinkle interior provides an additional auditory trigger during leg movement. The soft fleece body transitions naturally into a comfort toy for rest periods. Each feature can be engaged independently or in combination depending on the dog’s preference and energy level.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate supervision is recommended during play, particularly for dogs that tend to chew through plush or faux leather materials. Inspect the toy regularly for signs of wear, torn seams, or exposed filling and squeaker components. If the toy becomes damaged, discontinue use and replace it. This toy is not intended for aggressive chewers. Select the appropriate size based on your dog’s breed and weight to reduce the risk of accidental ingestion of toy components. Store in a dry location when not in use.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed. Allow the toy to air dry completely before returning it to your dog. Avoid machine washing or submerging in water, as this may affect the internal squeaker and crinkle components. Inspect seams and leg attachments after each cleaning for signs of wear.
