Description
Chew-Activated Dental Care for Large Dogs
The KONG Dental Ball with TropiClean Enticer Teeth Cleaning Gel is a rubber chew toy and dental care system built for large dogs. Two built-in pockets are filled with the included honey-marinated chicken-flavored dental gel, which releases inside the dog’s mouth during chewing — delivering active bacteria-fighting ingredients while raised nubs clean teeth and condition gum tissue. A more engaging alternative to traditional brushing, this interactive dog toy satisfies the stronger chewing instincts of large breeds while actively supporting oral hygiene. Best suited for light to moderate chewers in the large dog category.

Why Pet Owners Choose This Toy
Included TropiClean dental gel destroys 99.9% of bacteria, delivering active oral care during every chew session
Honey-marinated chicken flavor makes the gel highly palatable, encouraging large dogs to engage willingly and consistently
Raised nubs provide a gentle abrasive cleaning action that helps reduce plaque and tartar buildup on teeth and gums
Two gel-filled pockets release the formula inside the dog’s mouth as they chew, targeting hard-to-reach areas along the gum line
Tapered tube nozzle on the gel allows for easy, mess-free refilling between sessions
Larger rubber construction sized for large dog jaw strength maintains gel pocket integrity under stronger chewing pressure
A more engaging and rewarding alternative to traditional toothbrushing for large breeds
Material and Construction
The KONG Dental Ball is constructed from durable rubber, scaled up for large dog jaw strength and chewing pressure. The larger ball body provides the structural integrity needed to house two internal gel pockets while withstanding regular use by large breeds. The surface features raised nubs that create a gentle abrasive effect against teeth and gum tissue during chewing. The rubber compound is firm enough to maintain shape and gel containment under stronger chewing force. The overall build is moderate duty — appropriate for large dogs with light to moderate chewing intensity, and supervision is recommended for more persistent chewers.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The surface texture is firm and nubbed, providing consistent tactile stimulation throughout chewing. Sized specifically for large dog breeds at 0.36 lbs, the ball is proportionate for comfortable gripping and independent engagement by larger jaws. Play duration is extended by the gel-release mechanism — as the dental gel disperses during chewing, it sustains the dog’s interest and encourages continued engagement. Duration will vary based on individual chewing behavior and gel consumption rate. The gel can be replenished using the tapered nozzle for ongoing use.
Play Style and Functional Use
Chew Toy: Raised nubs deliver consistent textural stimulation and gentle abrasive cleaning against teeth and gum tissue during active chewing sessions sized for large dog engagement.
Dental Care Toy: The two internal pockets release TropiClean honey chicken dental gel inside the dog’s mouth as they chew, actively fighting bacteria and supporting oral hygiene in a format large dogs find naturally rewarding.
Treat-Dispensing Toy: The gel-filled pockets function similarly to a treat-dispensing toy, using flavor and scent to motivate sustained engagement and reinforce appropriate chewing behavior in large breeds.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate to high supervision is recommended for large dogs, particularly during initial use and for strong or persistent chewers
Inspect the toy regularly for signs of wear, cracking, or pocket deterioration — replace promptly if significant damage is detected
Ensure toy size is appropriate for your dog; always use the large size for large breeds and do not substitute with smaller sizes
Consult your veterinarian before use if your dog has existing dental conditions or sensitivities
Store unused dental gel with the cap secured in a cool, dry location
Cleaning and Maintenance
Hand wash the rubber ball with mild soap and warm water after each use, paying attention to the gel pockets and nub texture where residue may accumulate. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry completely before refilling with dental gel. Avoid high-heat cleaning methods such as boiling or dishwasher cycles, as these can degrade the rubber compound and pocket structure over time.

A Note on Dental Care
The KONG Dental Ball with TropiClean Gel is designed to support oral hygiene as part of a consistent dental care routine for large dogs. Regular use can contribute to reduced bacterial load and improved gum health over time. This product is not a substitute for professional veterinary dental care. Given the stronger chewing force of large breeds, inspect the toy more frequently and replace when worn. Refill the gel pockets as needed to maintain effectiveness.
