Why Pet Owners Choose This Toy
KONG Ultra-Tex ripstop fabric is significantly more resistant to tearing than standard plush toy materials, making it better suited to large dog play intensity
Reinforced seams stitched with heavy-duty nylon thread add structural integrity at the toy’s most vulnerable stress points under larger dog force
Robust interior liner provides an additional protective layer between the outer fabric and internal components
Internal squeakers deliver strong auditory feedback that sparks prey-drive instincts and sustains active engagement in large breeds
Internal rattles add a second distinct sound layer, prolonging play beyond a single-squeaker toy
Dense stuffing gives the large elephant body a firm, substantial feel at 0.73 lbs during carrying, shaking, and mouthing
Ella Elephant’s distinctive silhouette — trunk, ears, and body — creates multiple natural grab and shake points proportionate for large dog play
Material and Construction
The KONG Cozie Ultra Ella Elephant Large is built with KONG Ultra-Tex fabric — a ripstop material engineered to resist tearing under the stress of active play from larger, more powerful dogs. Multiple reinforcement layers work in combination: ripstop exterior fabric, reinforced seams stitched with heavy-duty nylon thread, and a robust interior liner that adds structural depth and protects internal components from large dog play pressure. Dense stuffing fills the larger elephant body at 0.73 lbs, giving it a substantial, satisfying feel during interaction. Internal squeakers and rattles are housed within the construction to deliver multi-sensory sound feedback. While significantly more durable than standard plush toys, this toy is still a plush toy and is not intended for aggressive destruction-style chewing.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The exterior texture is ripstop fabric — firm and structured compared to standard plush, with a tactile quality that holds up better under mouthing and light chewing from large breeds. At 0.73 lbs, the large Ella Elephant is proportionate for comfortable carrying, shaking, and interactive play by large dogs. The elephant’s distinctive silhouette — with trunk, ears, and body — creates multiple natural grab and shake points that add play variety and sustain engagement. Play duration is further extended by the combination of squeakers, rattles, and dense stuffing working together across longer sessions.
Play Style and Functional Use
Durable Plush Toy: The Ultra-Tex ripstop construction and reinforced seams make this a plush toy built to withstand more active play from large dogs than standard stuffed animals. The large elephant shape and dense stuffing invite carrying, shaking, and comfort-seeking behavior.
Squeaky Toy: Internal squeakers deliver strong auditory feedback during compression and shaking, activating prey-drive instincts and reinforcing sustained engagement — particularly effective for large breeds with strong play drives.
Rattle Toy: Internal rattles add a second distinct sound layer that complements the squeakers, creating a richer multi-sensory play experience that prolongs interaction beyond a standard single-sound plush toy.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate to high supervision is recommended for large dogs, particularly those who play with significant force or intensity
Inspect regularly for signs of fabric wear, seam stress, or internal component exposure — replace promptly if squeakers or rattles become accessible
While more durable than standard plush toys, this toy is not intended for aggressive destruction-style chewing or dogs who systematically dismantle stuffed toys
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use to maintain fabric integrity and stuffing structure
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean the surface with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed. Check the product label for specific washing instructions before machine washing. Allow to air dry completely before returning to use. Do not use high-heat drying methods, as these can affect the ripstop fabric, internal squeakers, rattles, and stuffing density.

A Note on Play
The KONG Cozie Ultra Ella Elephant Large is engineered to outlast standard plush toys through superior fabric construction and multi-layer reinforcement, scaled specifically for the demands of large dog play. It is designed for active, instinct-driven play rather than passive comfort use alone. While it offers significantly greater durability than conventional stuffed animals, it is not indestructible and is not recommended for dogs who aggressively destroy plush toys. Supervise during play, inspect regularly, and replace when the toy shows signs of significant wear or internal component exposure.
