Material and Construction
The Cozie Tuggz Cheetah is constructed from soft plush fur on the exterior, with a sturdy cotton rope handle integrated internally and knotted securely within the body. This internal rope structure is the defining feature of the Tuggz line — it provides a functional tug point without exposing rope ends that could pose a safety risk. The crinkle material adds an additional tactile and auditory layer alongside the squeaker. The cheetah’s elongated body form factor is well-suited for shaking and tossing play. Construction is classified as light to moderate duty, appropriate for dogs who engage in interactive tug play without being aggressive chewers.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The exterior is soft and inviting, making it comfortable for dogs to carry and hold during rest. The internal rope handle provides resistance during tug sessions, adding a functional dimension beyond standard plush toys. Sized for small to medium dogs, the toy is proportioned for comfortable gripping and carrying within the intended size range. Play duration will vary — dogs that alternate between tug play and comfort use will engage with this toy across longer periods, while aggressive chewers may wear through the plush exterior more quickly.
Play Style and Functional Use
Tug Toy with Multi-Sensory Features:
The internal cotton rope handle is the primary tug interface — knotted inside the body to provide resistance during owner-led tug-of-war sessions. The squeaker activates during compression, rewarding biting and carrying. The crinkle element adds an additional sound layer during shaking and tossing. The cheetah’s elongated body form naturally encourages shake-and-toss prey-drive play alongside tug interaction. Between active sessions, the soft plush exterior makes this toy suitable as a comfort object. Supervision is recommended during tug play to monitor rope integrity and plush wear.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Supervise tug play sessions to monitor rope handle integrity and plush seam condition
Inspect regularly for exposed rope fibers, seam separation, or accessible stuffing — replace if found
Match toy size (SM/MD) to small or medium dogs to ensure safe interaction proportions
Remove squeaker or crinkle components if they become exposed during play
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use to preserve fabric and rope quality
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap as needed. Allow to air dry fully before returning to use. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying, which can degrade the cotton rope handle and plush fabric integrity. Inspect the rope handle and squeaker during each cleaning cycle to confirm they remain securely enclosed.
