Material and Construction
The ChewStix Puppy Twist is made with a real wood composite material infused with coconut scent, delivering a gentle sensory experience appropriate for puppies. The threaded twist design is engineered to interface with Puppy KONG toys, locking in place during both chewing and fetch play. The grooved outer surface provides gentle textural engagement suited to developing teeth and sensitive gums. This is a light-duty teething toy designed for small puppies; it is not intended for adult dogs or aggressive chewers.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The surface is firm but appropriately gentle for puppy teeth, with a grooved twist profile that provides consistent, low-resistance chewing engagement. The small format is well-proportioned for young, small-breed puppies to grip and mouth without difficulty. At 0.31 lbs, it is lightweight and easy to carry. Engagement duration will vary based on the puppy’s teething stage, interest level, and individual chewing behavior.
Play Style and Functional Use
Teething Chew Toy: The grooved twist surface delivers gentle chewing resistance and gum stimulation, providing a safe and appropriate outlet for teething discomfort in small puppies. Fetch Toy: When locked into a Puppy KONG, the ChewStix Puppy Twist gains a bouncy rubber base that launches short, energetic fetch sessions between chewing bouts — ideal for curious, active puppies building play habits early.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Always supervise puppy play sessions — high supervision is recommended for all teething toys.
Inspect regularly for excessive wear or material reduction — replace when substantially degraded.
Not intended for adult dogs or dogs beyond the teething stage.
Confirm the small size is appropriate for your puppy’s breed and developmental stage before use.
When used with Puppy KONG, ensure the connection is secure before fetch play begins.
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Wipe clean with a damp cloth after each use. Avoid soaking or submerging in water, as prolonged moisture exposure may affect the wood composite material and coconut scent infusion. Do not use high-heat cleaning methods. Inspect the threaded connection point regularly if used with Puppy KONG.
