Formula and Ingredients
This itchy skin dog shampoo is built on an organic coconut oil and organic olive oil soap base, providing gentle cleansing that supports moisture retention during washing. Avocado oil is included for its soothing and moisturizing properties, targeting dry and irritated skin areas during the wash. Tea tree essential oil contributes deep-cleansing and allergen-removing action, while grapefruit essential oil adds a natural citrusy and herbaceous fragrance and complements the formula’s botanical cleansing profile. Every ingredient, including each essential oil, is vet-approved for safe and effective concentrations for pet use. The formula is produced in a certified USDA organic workshop in the USA and contains no harsh chemical alternatives.
Usage, Application, and Frequency Guidance
Wet the dog’s coat thoroughly with warm water. Apply a generous amount of Kin+Kind Itchy Dog Shampoo and work into a lather, massaging gently through the coat and across the skin – paying particular attention to areas affected by itching, hot spots, or irritation. Allow the formula to sit on the coat for several minutes to support allergen removal and soothing action before rinsing thoroughly until water runs clear. For dogs with active skin irritation, bathing frequency should be guided by skin condition and veterinary recommendations. Suitable for all dog sizes and coat types.
Functional Use
Coat Cleaning and Conditioning
This dog grooming shampoo functions as a rinse-out botanical cleanser designed to address itchy, dry, and irritated skin during routine bathing. The tea tree and grapefruit essential oils work alongside the organic oil base to remove allergens and surface irritants from the coat and skin, while avocado oil delivers soothing and moisturizing benefits to affected areas during the wash. The vet-formulated botanical blend is designed to provide relief from itching associated with allergic reactions, hot spots, and dry skin without relying on harsh chemical ingredients. The formula is designed for standard rinse-out use only.
