Material and Construction
The Medium Spiky Cuz is built from natural rubber, providing a firm yet flexible structure that holds up to moderate chewing. The squeaker is housed in an internal protective casing and epoxied directly into the rubber body, minimizing the risk of extraction during play. Dental spikes are molded into the outer surface, adding textured engagement without sharp or abrasive edges. The solid-core construction supports consistent bounce and chew resistance across repeated play sessions.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The toy presents a firm feel with a spiky exterior that provides tactile variety during chewing and retrieval. The medium size is best suited for medium to large breeds with proportional jaw strength. Engagement duration will vary based on individual chew intensity — moderate chewers can expect extended sessions, while strong or aggressive chewers should be monitored closely. The erratic bounce pattern during fetch adds replay value and extends overall play duration beyond standard ball toys.
Play Style and Functional Use
Chew Toy: The spiky texture and natural rubber composition provide satisfying chewing resistance for moderate chewers. Dental nubs offer light surface stimulation during active chewing sessions.
Fetch Toy: The rounded ball shape and natural rubber bounce create an unpredictable roll and rebound, keeping fetch sessions engaging and less predictable than standard fetch toys.
Squeaky Toy: The internal squeaker responds to compression, delivering an auditory reward that encourages continued interaction and independent play.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate supervision is recommended, particularly for strong or aggressive chewers
Inspect the toy regularly for signs of wear, cracking, or material breakdown
Replace the toy if the rubber shows significant damage or if the squeaker becomes accessible
Always select the appropriate size for your dog — undersized toys can present a choking risk
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Wipe clean with a damp cloth after use. For deeper cleaning, hand wash with mild soap and warm water, then air dry completely before returning to your dog. Avoid high-heat drying methods such as dishwashers or dryers, which can degrade natural rubber over time. Inspect the squeaker casing and overall rubber integrity during each cleaning session.
