Material and Construction
The Jolly Pets Egg Red 12in. is constructed from durable plastic with a smooth, hard exterior. Its solid one-piece build eliminates loose parts or detachable components during normal chase and fetch use. The light-duty durability rating makes it well-suited for dogs who bat, nudge, and chase rather than aggressive chewers. This toy is not designed as a chew toy — excessive chewing may cause tooth wear.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The smooth, firm surface produces the Egg’s signature unpredictable roll and bounce across floors, grass, and water. At 12 inches, this size is scaled for medium to large dogs and provides moderate-to-extended engagement depending on the individual dog’s energy level and prey drive. Dogs with high activity levels tend to sustain longer independent play sessions. Play duration will vary based on temperament and environment.
Play Style and Functional Use
The Jolly Pets Egg Red 12in. is a chase and fetch toy. Its oval shape produces erratic rolls and bounces that are unpredictable and exciting for dogs to pursue across multiple surfaces. It floats, making it an effective durable dog toy for water-based fetch. It is not designed for tug play or as a puzzle toy.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate supervision is recommended during play. Inspect the toy regularly — if it becomes cracked, damaged, or shows signs of wear, remove and discard it immediately. Ensure the 12-inch size is appropriate for your dog to prevent any risk of ingestion. Remove all packaging before use and dispose of it properly. Parts of this item can be a choking hazard if the toy is damaged. Store in a clean, dry location when not in use.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Rinse clean with water after use, especially following water-based play sessions. Avoid high-heat cleaning methods that may warp or weaken the plastic construction. Inspect the surface for cracks or damage before each use.
