Material and Construction
The Squiggly Squid Large is constructed from soft, squishy plush fabric with an internal squeaker and crinkle material. The Slappies line features a floppy, multi-limbed silhouette that moves unpredictably during shaking and tossing, adding play variety beyond standard plush toys. At 12.5″, the Large size provides a more substantial form factor for medium to large dogs. Durability is rated light to moderate duty — designed for light interactive play, not sustained chewing or aggressive tug sessions.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The toy has a soft, squishy feel with floppy limbs that move freely during play. The crinkle interior responds during mouthing and squeezing, while the squeaker activates under pressure. At 12.5″, the Large size is proportioned for medium to large breeds and provides a more engaging shake experience than the Small (9″) version. Play duration will vary based on individual dog behavior — dogs that shake, carry, and toss will engage longer than those that attempt to chew through the material. This is not a chew toy and should not be used as a primary chew outlet.
Play Style and Functional Use
As a plush shake toy, squeaker toy, and crinkle toy, the Squiggly Squid Large is designed for active light play that rewards natural shaking and carrying behavior in medium to large dogs. The floppy squid limbs move unpredictably during shaking, adding movement-based engagement. The squeaker and crinkle provide layered auditory feedback during mouthing and squeezing. Suitable for indoor fetch-style tossing, shake play, and solo entertainment. Not rated for sustained tug play or chewing.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
High supervision is recommended during all play sessions
Inspect regularly for torn seams, exposed stuffing, or squeaker access — replace if damaged
Not suitable for moderate or aggressive chewers despite larger size
Floppy limbs should be monitored — replace if limbs show significant wear or separation
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with a damp cloth as needed. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying methods that may damage the plush fabric, crinkle material, or internal squeaker. Inspect seams and limb attachment points after each cleaning.
