Material and Construction
Gillie is constructed with a super-soft fur exterior and extra-wide wale corduroy plush, providing a premium tactile surface that appeals to dogs that enjoy mouthing and snuggling soft textures. The internal structure features a poly cotton X-Brace skeleton for structural reinforcement during tug and toss play. The Tuffut Technology heat-laminated 2-layer lining bonds the outer layer to the interior lining, adding resistance to tearing and seam separation under moderate play pressure. A squeaker is integrated into the head, and crinkle material runs through the body for multi-sensory stimulation. This is a moderate-duty interactive dog toy suited for medium to large dogs with active but not extreme chewing habits.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The super-soft fur and corduroy plush exterior provide a luxuriously soft feel that is comfortable for medium to large dogs to carry, mouth, and snuggle. At approximately 16 inches tall, Gillie is well-proportioned for medium to large breeds. Engagement duration will vary based on the individual dog’s play drive and chew intensity. Dogs with moderate play styles will typically experience extended engagement across tug, toss, and solo crinkle play. Closer supervision is recommended for dogs with stronger chewing tendencies.
Play Style and Functional Use
Tug Toy: The X-Brace skeleton and Tuffut Technology lining provide the structural integrity needed for back-and-forth tug sessions between dog and handler. The elongated axolotl body offers a natural grip point for interactive play.
Plush Toy: With its ultra-soft fur and corduroy exterior, Gillie doubles as a comfort companion for dogs that enjoy carrying or snuggling with plush toys during rest periods. Moderate supervision is recommended during unsupervised use.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate supervision is recommended, particularly during initial use and active tug sessions
Inspect the toy regularly for signs of wear, torn seams, or exposed stuffing; replace if damaged
Select appropriate toy size based on your dog’s size and bite strength
Not recommended as an unsupervised chew toy for aggressive chewers
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Machine wash on a gentle cycle and tumble dry on low heat. Avoid high-heat drying methods that may damage the soft fur exterior, corduroy plush, or internal materials. Inspect seams and squeaker integrity after each wash cycle.
