Material and Construction
This plush dog toy is constructed from HuggleHounds’ signature corduroy plush — a soft, textured fabric that provides tactile engagement without aggressive chew resistance. The Knottie format features knotted limbs and a rounded body, giving small dogs multiple points to grip, carry, and mouth. Durability is rated light duty, making this toy best suited for gentle to moderate chewers rather than power chewers. The red and white graphic print is applied to the corduroy surface for a visually distinctive finish.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The corduroy surface is soft and flexible, making it comfortable for small dogs to carry and mouth. Sized specifically for small breeds, this toy is proportioned to fit comfortably in smaller jaws without posing an oversized handling challenge. Engagement duration will vary — dogs with a comfort-play style may carry and snuggle this toy for extended periods, while more active chewers may lose interest faster. This is not a heavy chew toy and is best used for supervised comfort play and light interactive sessions.
Play Style and Functional Use
As a plush toy, the Lucky Rabbit Knottie is designed primarily for comfort play, light mouthing, and carrying. The internal squeaker adds an interactive element that can encourage short fetch or tug sessions. The knotted limb structure gives dogs a natural grip point for gentle tug interaction. This toy is best suited for dogs who enjoy snuggling with soft toys or light interactive play rather than sustained chewing.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Supervise all play sessions with this plush dog toy. Plush toys are not designed for unsupervised chewing and should be inspected regularly for signs of wear, loose seams, or exposed stuffing. Remove the toy if it becomes damaged to prevent ingestion of filling or squeaker components. Ensure the toy size is appropriate for your dog — the small size is intended for small breeds only. Store in a clean, dry location when not in use.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with a damp cloth for minor soiling. For deeper cleaning, hand wash in cool water with mild detergent and allow to air dry completely before returning to your dog. Avoid machine drying or high-heat methods, which can damage the corduroy fabric and internal squeaker. Inspect stitching and seams after each wash.
