Material and Construction
The Knottie Lobster Small is constructed from super-soft corduroy — a plush, textured fabric that provides a comfortable chewing and cuddling surface for small dogs. The seamless exterior design eliminates exposed stitching that dogs typically target, extending the toy’s usable life compared to standard plush toys. Each knotted limb is individually stuffed with a squeaker, creating a multi-sensory interactive experience throughout the toy’s structure.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The corduroy surface is soft and pliable, making it well-suited for small dogs and gentle chewers who prefer comfort over resistance. At 0.2 lbs, the small size is appropriately scaled for small breeds to carry, shake, and engage with comfortably. Play duration will vary — dogs motivated by squeaker sounds tend to engage for extended sessions, while the toy’s longevity depends on individual chew habits and supervision level.
Play Style and Functional Use
Plush Toy: The soft corduroy body and character design make the Knottie Lobster a natural comfort and companion toy for small dogs. Supervision is recommended during play, as plush toys are best suited for gentle chewers rather than aggressive ones. Squeaker Toy: With a squeaker in each limb, this interactive dog toy rewards engagement with consistent sound feedback, encouraging repeated play and mental stimulation.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate supervision is recommended, particularly for dogs that chew with intensity
This toy is best suited for gentle chewers — not recommended as a primary toy for aggressive chewers
Inspect regularly for signs of fabric wear, seam separation, or squeaker exposure
Replace if the toy becomes significantly damaged or internal components become accessible
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with a damp cloth or hand wash gently with mild soap. Allow to air dry fully before returning to use. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying, as this may affect the corduroy fabric and internal squeaker components.
