Material and Construction
The Fall Knottie Squirrel is constructed with a plush fabric exterior finished in fall-themed seasonal colors. Knotted limbs are braided and tied to create structured play points that hold up to carry-and-shake play. This small edition does not include Tuffut Technology lining, consistent with Hugglehounds’ Wee and small-size Knottie construction. Durability is rated light duty — appropriate for dogs that engage in soft, gentle play rather than aggressive chewing.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The exterior feel is soft and flexible, with firm knotted limb sections that provide grip variety. Sized for small dogs and puppies, this toy is lightweight and easy to carry. Engagement duration will vary based on individual dog behavior — dogs that carry and shake toys will experience longer play sessions than those that focus on chewing. This is not a chew toy and is not intended for aggressive chewers.
Play Style and Functional Use
As a plush toy, the Fall Knottie Squirrel is best suited for carry, shake, and light interactive play. The knotted limbs provide natural tug and shake points that reward engagement. The squirrel character and fall color design add visual stimulation during play. All play sessions should be supervised.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Supervise all play sessions — this is a plush toy, not a chew-resistant toy
Inspect regularly for loose seams, torn fabric, or detached limbs
Remove and replace if the toy shows significant wear or damage
Ensure toy size is appropriate — do not use with dogs that can fully engulf the toy
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with a damp cloth for light soiling. Hand wash with mild detergent and air dry thoroughly before returning to use. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying methods, which can damage the plush fabric and internal components.
