Description
Scented, Squeaky, and Built to Last Longer Than the Average Plush
The GURU Soft Scents Plush Dog Toy – Hedgehog is a sensory-rich plush toy designed for medium dogs that enjoy soft, interactive play. Its patent-pending infused scented squeaker — made from Chew Pro, GURU’s ultra-durable, non-toxic thermoplastic rubber (TPR) — is what sets this plush apart from standard squeaky dog toys. The Hedgehog character carries its own unique scent, part of a six-character lineup that includes bacon, peanut butter, vanilla, banana, and honey. A double-layer fabric construction extends durability beyond single-layer plush toys, while the crinkle texture and scented squeaker deliver multi-sensory engagement that encourages longer independent play. Designed for light-to-moderate chewers with moderate supervision.

Material and Construction
The Soft Scents Plush Hedgehog is constructed with two layers of plush fabric, providing greater resistance to tearing compared to single-layer plush toys. The interior squeaker is made from Chew Pro — GURU’s proprietary ultra-durable, non-toxic thermoplastic rubber (TPR) — and is infused with scent to maintain engagement over time. The outer fabric incorporates crinkle material for additional auditory stimulation during play. This is a moderate-duty plush toy; it is not designed for heavy or destructive chewers.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The exterior is soft and pliable, making it well-suited for dogs that enjoy carrying, shaking, or cuddling with their toys. The crinkle material adds a satisfying sound element, while the Chew Pro TPR squeaker is firmer than the fabric exterior and provides a more durable chew surface than standard squeakers. Play duration will vary based on the individual dog’s play style — scent-driven and solo-play dogs tend to engage with this toy for extended periods. At 0.46 lbs, the Hedgehog is lighter than other characters in the lineup, making it a comfortable carry toy for medium dogs. Sized for medium dogs; not recommended for large breeds or heavy chewers.
Play Style and Functional Use
Plush Toy: The soft double-layer fabric exterior is designed for comfort-oriented play — carrying, shaking, and light mouthing. The plush construction makes it suitable for dogs that prefer softer toys over rigid chew toys. Supervision is recommended, as with all plush toys, to monitor fabric integrity over time.
Squeaky Toy: The Chew Pro TPR squeaker provides auditory feedback during play, encouraging continued engagement. The scent infusion adds an olfactory dimension that sustains interest beyond the initial introduction of the toy.
Sensory Toy: The combination of scent, crinkle sound, and squeaker creates a multi-sensory play experience that supports independent play and helps reduce boredom.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate supervision is recommended — inspect the toy regularly for signs of fabric wear, seam separation, or squeaker exposure
Replace the toy if the fabric tears significantly or if the squeaker becomes accessible, to prevent ingestion
This toy is not recommended for heavy or destructive chewers — consider a rubber or nylon chew toy for dogs with strong chewing habits
Ensure the toy size is appropriate for your dog — this product is designed for medium dogs
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean the fabric exterior with a damp cloth as needed. Check manufacturer guidance before machine washing, as high-heat or agitation cycles may affect the fabric layers or scent infusion. Allow the toy to air dry fully before returning it to your dog. Inspect seams and the squeaker area regularly for wear.
