Material and Construction
The Puppy Bone is constructed from Chew Pro — GURU’s proprietary ultra-durable, non-toxic thermoplastic rubber (TPR) — infused with vanilla scent to attract and maintain puppy interest. The material is firm enough to provide satisfying chew resistance while remaining appropriately yielding for young, developing teeth. The bone surface features GURU’s exclusive Clean & Polish texturing, designed to help clean and polish teeth during normal chewing behavior. The ergonomic bone shape is contoured to fit comfortably in a puppy’s mouth, supporting natural chewing posture. This is a moderate-duty chew toy suited to puppies and gentle-to-moderate chewers.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The Chew Pro TPR exterior is firm yet slightly flexible — providing meaningful resistance without the hardness of nylon or natural bone, which can be too rigid for puppy teeth. The vanilla scent and familiar bone shape encourage initial engagement and help establish the toy as a preferred chew outlet. Play duration will vary based on the individual puppy’s chewing intensity and interest level — the vanilla scent helps sustain engagement over time. Sized for medium puppies and dogs; not recommended for large adult dogs or heavy chewers who may require a more robust chew toy.
Play Style and Functional Use
Teething Toy: The Puppy Bone is designed to provide safe, appropriate chew resistance during the teething phase. The firm yet yielding Chew Pro TPR offers relief and engagement without posing a risk to developing teeth. The ergonomic shape allows puppies to hold and chew the bone comfortably from multiple angles.
Comfort Chew: Beyond teething, the vanilla-scented bone serves as a comfort chew for puppies that seek oral stimulation during rest, crate time, or periods of mild anxiety. The familiar bone shape and appealing scent make it a reliable go-to toy.
Dental Support: The Clean & Polish surface texturing provides a functional dental benefit during normal chewing, helping to clean and polish teeth as part of a regular play routine.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate supervision is recommended, especially during initial use, to confirm the toy is an appropriate size and fit for your puppy
Inspect the toy regularly for signs of wear, tearing, or significant chewing — replace if pieces begin to break off or the toy becomes significantly worn
This toy is designed for puppies and gentle-to-moderate chewers — it is not recommended for large adult dogs or heavy chewers
Ensure the toy size is appropriate for your dog — this product is sized for medium puppies and dogs
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Wipe the bone clean with a damp cloth after use. Hand washing with mild soap and warm water is suitable for more thorough cleaning. Avoid high-heat cleaning methods such as dishwashers or boiling, which may affect the TPR material or scent infusion. Inspect the surface texturing and bone ends regularly for wear.
