Material and Construction / Formula
The Four Paws Magic Coat Professional Series Every-Angle Detangler is built with durable stainless steel teeth that maintain their cutting edge through repeated heavy-duty dematting use. The adjustable head is the defining feature of this tool – it pivots to multiple positions with a single button press, allowing the user to reposition the blade angle for hard-to-reach coat areas and to switch between right and left-handed use without changing tools. Curved cutting edges on the teeth provide a safer cutting profile compared to straight-edged blades. The ergonomic comfort-grip handle is designed to reduce hand strain during extended grooming sessions.
Usage, Application, and Frequency Guidance
Adjust the head to the desired angle using the push-button mechanism before beginning. Work through matted sections using short, controlled strokes, starting at the outer edges of a mat and working inward gradually. Use the adjustable head to reposition as needed when working around legs, underbelly, behind the ears, and other hard-to-reach areas. Use as needed based on your pet’s coat type and mat frequency – dogs and cats with medium, long, curly, or wiry coats may require more frequent dematting between full grooming sessions.
Functional Use
Brush / Comb
This adjustable mat breaker is designed for heavy-duty dematting on medium, long, curly, and wiry coats. The stainless steel teeth cut through dense mat formations while the adjustable head allows precise repositioning for hard-to-reach areas. The curved cutting edges provide a safer cutting profile during close-contact grooming. Suitable for both dogs and cats, it functions as a professional-grade dematting tool for home use.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Use gentle, controlled strokes – do not force the tool through severe mats in a single pass
Inspect the stainless steel teeth regularly for bending or damage and replace the tool if structural integrity is compromised
Avoid use on broken, irritated, or inflamed skin
Supervise use around sensitive areas such as the face, ears, and underbelly
Store in a clean, dry location out of reach of children
Cleaning and Maintenance
Remove collected hair from the teeth after each use to maintain dematting effectiveness. Wipe the head and handle clean with a damp cloth as needed. Store in a dry location to prevent moisture buildup on the stainless steel teeth. Inspect teeth and the adjustable head mechanism periodically for wear and replace the tool when performance diminishes.
