Simply dip the strip in water for 5 seconds, hold horizontally for two minutes, then compare to the color chart to determine if a water change or ammonia reducer is needed. For complete aquarium care, pair with Aqueon’s 7-in-1 Test Strips to monitor pH levels, total alkalinity, hardness, nitrate, nitrite, chlorine and iron levels.
