Material and Construction
The KONG Signature Dynos features a plush exterior with a reinforced inner body construction. The reinforcement adds structural integrity to the seams and body, making it more resistant to shake-and-toss play than standard unstuffed or lightly constructed plush toys. The soft exterior is gentle on teeth and gums, making it appropriate for dogs that prefer soft textures. This is a moderate-duty plush toy — it is not designed for aggressive chewing and will not withstand the same level of use as rubber or nylon toys. Supervision is recommended, particularly for dogs that tend to de-stuff plush toys.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The plush exterior has a soft, smooth feel suited for carrying and cuddling. The reinforced inner body adds firmness without making the toy hard or uncomfortable to mouth. The MD size is scaled for medium breeds, making it easy to pick up, carry, and shake. Play duration will vary — dogs that engage in light carry and cuddle play may use the toy for extended periods, while dogs that shake or chew aggressively may work through the plush construction more quickly. Inspect regularly for seam wear and replace if stuffing becomes accessible.
Play Style and Functional Use
Plush Toy: The KONG Signature Dynos is best suited for carry, shake, and comfort play. The soft body makes it a natural fit for dogs that enjoy mouthing and carrying plush toys around the home. The dinosaur character shape provides a fun, grippable form for shaking and tossing. Between active play sessions, the toy can serve as a comfort item for dogs that enjoy resting with a soft toy. Supervise during play, particularly with dogs that tend to de-stuff or chew through plush materials.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate supervision is recommended during play. Inspect the toy regularly for seam wear, torn fabric, or exposed stuffing. Replace the toy promptly if stuffing becomes accessible to prevent ingestion. This toy is not recommended for unsupervised use with dogs that aggressively chew or de-stuff plush toys. The MD size is intended for medium breeds — ensure the toy is appropriately sized for your dog. Store in a dry location when not in use.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with a damp cloth as needed. Allow the toy to air dry completely before returning it to your dog. Avoid machine washing, as this may damage the reinforced inner construction and plush exterior over time. Inspect seams and fabric after cleaning for signs of wear before returning to use.
