KONG brand quality ensures consistent construction standards across the Comfort Pups line
Material and Construction
The KONG Comfort Pups Peanut is built from a super-plush fabric exterior with a deliberately minimal stuffing fill. This low-stuffing design reduces interior bulk, making shake play more satisfying and cleanup easier if the toy is breached. The crinkly ears introduce a distinct auditory and tactile element that engages instinct-driven play behavior. A squeaker is integrated into the body to provide additional sound stimulation during active play.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The toy presents a soft, plush feel across the body with a contrasting crinkly texture at the ears, providing multi-sensory engagement during play. The SM sizing is proportioned for small breeds, ensuring the toy is easy to carry, shake, and fetch. Engagement duration will vary based on individual play drive — dogs may use this toy for active fetch and shake sessions as well as quiet comfort and snuggling. This toy is not designed for aggressive chewing or extended destructive play.
Play Style and Functional Use
The KONG Comfort Pups Peanut supports multiple play styles: snuggling and comfort-seeking, short fetch sessions, and instinct-driven shake play. The squeaker provides sound-based stimulation during active play, while the crinkly ears add tactile and auditory variety. The floppy, low-stuffing body makes shaking particularly satisfying for small dogs. It is best suited for gentle chewers and dogs that engage in varied, moderate play rather than focused, aggressive chewing.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Active supervision is required during all play sessions — plush toys are not suitable for unsupervised use with dogs that chew aggressively
Inspect regularly for loose seams, torn fabric, or squeaker accessibility — replace if the toy shows significant wear
Monitor for stuffing or squeaker extraction and remove the toy if either becomes accessible
Ensure SM sizing is appropriate for your dog’s breed and play style before use
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Surface clean with a damp cloth as needed. Check the manufacturer’s care label for specific washing instructions. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying methods that may damage the plush fabric or crinkle material. Allow to air dry fully before returning to your dog.
