Formula and Ingredients
This deep clean dog shampoo is built on an organic coconut oil and organic olive oil soap base, providing gentle cleansing that supports moisture retention during washing. Activated charcoal is the key active ingredient, included for its natural ability to absorb and remove impurities, brighten the coat, and neutralize odors – including the sulfur-based compounds in skunk spray. Almond and vanilla essential oils provide the shampoo’s fragrance – a natural sweet, nutty, and pleasant scent derived entirely from botanical sources. Every ingredient, including each essential oil, is vet-approved for safe and effective concentrations for pet use. The formula is produced in a certified USDA organic workshop in the USA.
Usage, Application, and Frequency Guidance
Wet the dog’s coat thoroughly with warm water. Apply a generous amount of Kin+Kind Deep Clean Dog Shampoo and work into a lather, massaging through the coat from neck to tail. Allow the formula to sit on the coat for several minutes to support activated charcoal’s deep-cleaning and odor-absorbing action before rinsing thoroughly until water runs clear. For heavy soiling or skunk exposure, a second application may be beneficial. Frequency of use depends on the dog’s activity level and coat condition – every 3 to 6 weeks is typical for routine home grooming, with additional washes as needed after heavy outdoor activity. Suitable for all dog sizes and coat types.
Functional Use
Coat Cleaning and Conditioning
This dog grooming shampoo functions as a rinse-out deep-cleansing treatment designed to remove impurities, brighten the coat, and eliminate odors during routine or as-needed bathing. The activated charcoal works during the wash to absorb and lift impurities from the coat and skin surface, while simultaneously neutralizing odor compounds. The brightening action benefits both white and colored coats, restoring a clean, vibrant appearance after washing. The organic oil soap base cleanses without stripping the coat of natural moisture, and the Almond+Vanilla essential oil fragrance provides a lasting natural scent after rinsing. The formula is designed for standard rinse-out use only.
