Material and Construction
The Skinny Pup is constructed from H&K’s Power Plush fabric — a soft, durable textile designed to hold its shape through regular light play. The interior features crinkle material layered alongside a squeaker mechanism, providing two distinct sounds that stimulate a dog’s natural curiosity and prey drive. The slim, elongated body shape is easy for small dogs to grip, shake, and carry. Durability is rated light duty — this toy is built for gentle chewers and supervised play, not aggressive chewing sessions.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The exterior is soft and pliable, making it comfortable for small dogs to mouth and carry without jaw fatigue. At 2 x 5.5 x 7.5 inches (Small), the toy is appropriately sized for small breeds. Play duration will vary based on individual dog behavior — dogs with moderate interest in plush toys may engage for short to moderate sessions, while dogs who love to carry comfort toys may return to it repeatedly throughout the day.
Play Style and Functional Use
As a plush toy, the Skinny Pup is best suited for comfort play, light tossing, and squeaky interactive sessions. The squeaker encourages dogs to bite and engage, while the crinkle interior adds an additional layer of auditory stimulation. This is not a fetch toy designed for outdoor retrieval — it performs best in supervised indoor play environments where gentle interaction is the goal.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Supervise all play sessions — this is a light-duty plush toy not intended for unsupervised chewing
Inspect regularly for signs of wear; replace if the seams are compromised or stuffing becomes accessible
Ensure the toy size is appropriate for your dog — do not use with medium or large dogs who may destroy the toy quickly
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use to maintain fabric integrity
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with a damp cloth for minor dirt. Hand washing in cool water with mild detergent is recommended for deeper cleaning. Allow to air dry completely before returning to your dog. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying methods that may damage the plush fabric or internal squeaker mechanism.
