Material and Construction
The HK Football Large is constructed from H&K’s Power Plush fabric — a soft, durable textile designed to hold its shape through regular light play. The interior features crinkle material layered alongside a squeaker mechanism, providing two distinct sounds that stimulate a dog’s natural prey drive and play instincts. The oversized football silhouette scales up for medium and large dogs, providing a grippable shape that is easy to toss, chase, shake, and carry back. Durability is rated light duty — this toy is built for gentle to moderate chewers and supervised fetch play, not aggressive chewing sessions.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The exterior is soft and pliable, making it comfortable for medium and large dogs to mouth and carry. The large format is appropriately sized for bigger breeds, providing a proportionate toy with enough presence for larger dogs to grip and shake satisfyingly. Play duration will vary based on individual dog behavior — dogs with a strong fetch drive may engage in extended retrieval sessions, while others may enjoy shorter interactive bursts.
Play Style and Functional Use
As a plush fetch toy, the HK Football Large is best suited for indoor toss-and-retrieve sessions, squeaky interactive play, shaking, and comfort carrying. The squeaker encourages dogs to engage on contact, while the crinkle interior adds an additional layer of auditory stimulation during carry and shake. The football shape rolls and bounces unpredictably on indoor surfaces, adding an element of chase excitement to play sessions. This toy performs best in supervised indoor play settings.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Supervise all play sessions — this is a light-duty plush toy not intended for unsupervised chewing
Inspect regularly for signs of wear; replace if seams are compromised or stuffing becomes accessible
Ensure the toy size is appropriate for your dog — the Large format is suited for medium to large breeds
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use to maintain fabric integrity
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with a damp cloth for minor dirt. Hand washing in cool water with mild detergent is recommended for deeper cleaning. Allow to air dry completely before returning to your dog. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying methods that may damage the plush fabric or internal squeaker mechanism.
