Description
Remarks: The black emperor tetra (Nematobrycon palmeri) is a striking color morph of the standard emperor tetra. This tetra is popular for its deep black body coloration and bright blue/green eyes. These fish are great for most medium community aquariums, and are recommended to be kept in groups of at least 6 to 10 as they are schooling fish.
Adult males will have elongated dorsal and caudal fins, paired with an extended middle ray, forming a “trident” tail. The females will typically be smaller in length and thicker in size. This tetra typically occupies the top and middle column of the aquarium, so they would be a great addition to a community tank with bottom dwellers.Scientific Name: Nematobrycon PalmeriCommon Name: Black Emperor TetraMax Size: 2″pH: 5.5-7.5Hardness: SoftTemperature: 73-81°Aggressiveness: PeacefulRegion of Origin: South AmericaCaptive Bred or Wild: WildDiet: Small flake or pellet, small frozen or live foods*****Please review our Shipping and Handling FAQ prior to placing your order.
