Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does this listing include dosing container bottles or tube holders?
No, this listing includes the desired 2-head or 4-head dosing pump only. The Dosing Container Kit and Dosing Tube Holder may be purchased separately to complete your automated system.
2. How does automated dosing help prevent algae growth compared to manual dosing?
Manual weekly or bi-weekly dosing creates massive nutrient spikes followed by nutrient starvation periods, which can stress plants and trigger algae growth. Chihiros Dosing Pumps supply small, consistent daily doses that match plant consumption rates, keeping water column chemistry stable.
3. Can I dose different types of liquid plant fertilizer through separate pump heads?
Yes, each pump head operates independently through the mobile app. You can dedicate individual heads for macronutrients, micronutrients, iron supplements, or liquid carbon additives, assigning distinct schedules for each liquid.
